Day 6

Today (your yesterday) was nuts. We went out to build two houses in one day, and the first required a river crossing to get there. I could try and explain it but words will not do justice. Here’s some pics of crossing the river with chainsaws and all the other advanced tools we used.

How is God going to part these waters

We built this house with locals for the family that lived beyond the river. Afterward we went for another house, rode on top of the van, and had a long talk about the Lord with Samuel. Pray he will come to church tonight to meet with the other youth.

Also keep health and protection in your prayers as my body isn’t what it used to be and I need renewal of my strength. Specifically pray for wisdom and protection if I play soccer with the youth. Pray my cough is healed.

We have a house and a half left to build.

I’ll try and post just one video so you can get the feel of the countryside.

1 1/2 to go tomorrow.

I got some good ideas for ways to partner with the schools from our contacts in Nicaragua. Please pray all those materialize.

Day 5

Thank you to everyone who has followed this thread and agreed to pray everyday while we are in Honduras. “The effective prayers of the righteous will accomplish much!” Your prayers matter immensely to the heart of God and are carry us along at this point. Just a side note—I did get a short sabbath nap between church and visiting the girls home yesterday, and then we successfully repaired the ministry’s Jeep. (My second favorite activity on a Sabbath is pulling an Ox like this out of a ditch) So thank you.

Time at the girls home was intense, Babies having babies, and teenagers coming out of abusive relationships. This team here in Honduras visits them weekly, so many have been touched with God’s Love, By the end of the night the girls opened up and many received prayer.

Today is going to be a long one. We are working with a team of ten to build two houses in one day. Not sure why they bit off so much, but that means a 12-13 hour day building and painting.

This work is what we prepared for by pushing water and bringing heavy work boots, but that means we are less tempted to rely on God and stay open to divine appointment. Pray we touch the people God desires and work wisely.

Pray no one gets hurt or overheats (including the Jeep we fixed).

Day 4

Sabbath. We will be at church today with believers and then fellowship and eat with the believers. This should be a powerful time, so pray the Spirit falls in the worship and that new believers are added to the church like in the Book of Acts.

Pray for me too. I really look forward to the Sabbath nap and am feeling like I need to enter Gods test anyway I can today. Pray there is space to rest and sabbath and that God is revealed to the worshippers seeking him through the local churches here.

Today we are going to a girls orphanage to do ministry and share some stories of the Bible. These are some of those who have been either orphaned or caught in human trafficking. There will be no picture from this trip they tell me because many of the girls are being protected from gangs or abusive family situations.

Please pray for the message that will be shared and that the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings—emotional and physical.
