Following God Late in Life

How beautiful on the mountain

Are the feet of those that publish peace,

That bring the good news of salvation.”

Isaiah 51:7

30 years ago God called me to serve as a missionary with Youth With A Mission.

Now I sense His calling again to go and share the good news of salvation.

The Watson’s

I will be going July 30-August 10 to work with one of the first friends I met 30 years ago at YWAM, Eric Watson, and his wife, Mimi.

They also heard the call again later in life after their kids had grown to sell all and establish a YWAM base among the poorest of the poor.

I don’t expect this trip will be easy. We will build 4 houses each week, minister the gospel in the streets, and work with schools to provide teacher training.

WHY am I going? Well, God said to, in Mark 16:15 “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” And Amy said I could.) And our school’s mission is to serve the church and fulfill the Great Commission.

WHEN do I leave?  July 30, for 10 days.

WHAT do I need? Prayer and $2,000 to cover travel and the materials to build the houses.  Also, I would like to provide teachers with Christian books in Spanish.

HOW can you help? I need 10 Prayer Partners who will each give $100, no more, but will commit to pray daily while I am there. I’ll match the other $1000 and any additional funds will go to the ministry, banahfoundation.com. Please give here, choose the General Fund and add Robert Lee Trip in the memo.

I am asking you to be one of the ten. I’ve been around long enough to know I cannot do this alone. I need your support, the Lord’s help, and all the prayer we can gather.

Please comment to this message with a simple yes to being a partner, and I will link you into the prayer thread.

I’m humbled, a little nervous, and ignited again to be a part of God’s mission in Honduras.  If you can join me as a partner, amazing.

Robert
